CFSI is inviting interested local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to submit proposals to partner with CFSI to promote recovery in Eastern Visayas. Under the Civil Society Development Project (CSDP), CFSI will provide 8 to 12 grants of up to PhP500,000 each to qualified local NGOs. These grants are expected to support projects to be implemented within a maximum fifteen-month timeframe. Approved projects are to start by October 2014 and end by 31 December 2015. Priority areas for implementation include the worst-affected communities in Eastern Samar, Samar, Leyte, and Taclaoban City.

The goal of the CSDP is to address through local partners the recovery and support needs of the people most affected by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. The CSDP is focused on the following thematic areas: protection of especially vulnerable women and children, persons with disabilities, older persons, and indigenous communities; provision of psychosocial support and mental health care; primary health care; food security; livelihood; disaster risk reduction; and advocacy.

Applications and supporting documents must be emailed to headquarters@cfsi.ph no later than 12:00 midnight on Monday, 22 September 2014. Late submissions will not be entertained in order to be fair to those who comply with the submission deadline. See links below for more details and instructions on how to apply.
