Through the Marawi Recovery Project (MRP), CFSI, with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of the Australian Government, seeks to enable an improved quality of life, strengthen relations between peoples, and foster greater prospects for peace.
The MRP aims to support protection, psychosocial, and economic recovery of at least 4,000 households (20,000 persons) displaced by the Marawi crisis. With the support of the Marawi Local Government, the MRP is implemented in Marawi City and the Municipalities of Ditsaan Ramain, Marantao, and Piagapo in Lanao del Sur. As the grant manager, CFSI directly implements the protection and psychosocial support components in all the areas, as well as urban livelihood in Marawi City. CFSI entered into a sub-grant agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to implement an agri-based livelihood in the Municipalities of Ditsaan-Ramain, Marantao, and Piagapo. The project is implemented from October 2017 through December 2019.
During the 5th Kawiyagan Day last 31 January 2019, more livelihood support items were turned over to more beneficiaries.
