On 28 November 2017, Community and Family Services International (CFSI) and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) co-chaired the 8th and last Project Steering Committee Meeting of the Zamboanga Recovery Project (ZRP).
The meeting looked at both the achievements of the project and the lessons learned so as to create recommendations and help future projects that deal with recovery in response to a humanitarian crisis brought about by conflict. CFSI presented plaques of appreciation to its partners, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the City Office of Zamboanga, and the Honourable Mayor Beng Climaco. Mrs. Climaco also presented DFAT, CFSI, CRS, and WHO with letters of recognition for their efforts in helping the “untagged” IDPs of Zamboanga City through the ZRP.
