On 16 April 2019, the first Implementation Monitoring Visit was conducted for the Marawi Recovery Project (MRP) as part of the Third Meeting of the Performance and Quality Assurance Technical Working Group (PQA-TWG).
Community and Family Services (CFSI), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN FAO), and Local Governments of the Municipalities of Ditsaan-Ramain and Marantao, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and Marawi City participated in the said visit.
The participants were divided into three teams, with each team assigned a respective MRP component to evaluate, namely the livelihood, psychosocial support, and protection component.
Each team visited the homes of six MRP beneficiaries in Sagonsongan Transitory Shelter Site 6 and Site 4 in Marawi City.
During the activity, the participants were able to engage with the beneficiaries and have personal consultations about their conditions and wellbeing, aside from monitoring the support they have received from the Project.
The inputs acquired from the field visit were then discussed in the Third Meeting of the PQA TWG held in the Islamic Conference Room, Marawi City Hall. The visit also became a basis for modifications in the MRP Programme Tools.
The Marawi Recovery Project (MRP) is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of the Australian Government and aims to enable an improved quality of life, strengthen relations between peoples, and foster greater prospects for peace.
