Educators and learners alike were delighted with the field visits conducted by representatives from CFSI and the Ministry of Basic Higher and Technical Education, with select District Supervisors and representatives from the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao Program, on 9 to 12 December 2019.
The province of Lanao del Sur houses the twelve Alternative Delivery Mode – Community Learning Centers (ADM-CLC) administered under the Accessible and Contextually Appropriate Elementary Education System for Grade VI, also known as the Basic Education Project 2 (BEP/2). Specifically, the ADM-CLCs are located in remote areas in the Municipalities of Malabang, Pagayawan, Tubaran, and Piagapo.
The three-day visit and monitoring activity confirmed timely project implementation and high attendance rates. Consultations were also held with catchment school principals and parents of the learners. Further, reading materials were distributed to the learners as additional learning references. The Learning Facilitators (LFs) expressed appreciation to the project team for their effort to visit the centers.
The BEP/2 is being implemented by CFSI in partnership with Palladium International.
