In Zamboanga City, CFSI provided orientation for volunteers from its partner, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU). Some of the volunteers were social workers, but most were students of social work and community development who are currently undertaking field instruction.
In this session, CFSI oriented a total of 68 volunteers, who will be deployed in evacuation centers in Zamboanga City to conduct psychosocial sessions with children. CFSI has established a presence in Zamboanga City, to continue needs assessments, plan interventions, and install appropriate responses for internally displaced persons, particularly the most vulnerable.
