On 21 March 2012, CFSI—represented by Executive Director Steven Muncy—was re-elected to the Board of the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) for a second three-year term. ICVA is the global network of non-governmental organizations whose mission is to make humanitarian action more principled and effective by working separately and collectively to influence policy and practice. Its vision is a world in which crisis-affected populations are effectively protected, assisted, and enabled to rebuild their lives and livelihoods with dignity. Founded in 1962 and comprised of 73 member organizations, ICVA is presently celebrating its 50th Anniversary Year. The ICVA Secretariat is based in Geneva, Switzerland—the global hub for the humanitarian community. CFSI has been a member of ICVA since 2003.
