Community and Family Services International (CFSI) has extended the Marawi Recovery Project (MRP) to Boganga Transitory Site (TS), the soon-to-be biggest transitory site in Marawi for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Marawi Siege.
On 20 and 26 February 2019, CFSI conducted its first livelihood orientation sessions for the identified beneficiaries in Boganga TS.
In the orientation, CFSI presented MRP’s menu of livelihood packages which beneficiaries can choose from. Furthermore, the beneficiaries were guided in preparing their livelihood activity proposals based on their preferences. Seventy three proposals had already been approved and the remaining are still under review.
Following the livelihood orientation will be a seminars and training sessions on Financial Management and Bookkeeping expected to take place on March 2019.
CFSI is the first organization to enter Boganga Transitory Site and offer livelihood support. A total of 187 beneficiaries were identified for the said community, all of whom were present in the orientation.
The Marawi Recovery Project (MRP) is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of the Australian Government and aims to enable an improved quality of life, strengthen relations between peoples, and foster greater prospects for peace.
