Members of CFSI’s Board of Trustees regularly undertake field missions to the areas in which CFSI operates to witness first-hand the organization’s humanitarian work. Self-funded at no additional cost to CFSI, field missions enable Board Members to consult with, and receive feedback from, staff in the field, partners and beneficiaries. These insights are useful to the Board in providing organizational oversight, further guidance and strategic direction for CFSI.
The Board is composed of a range of professionals who serve on a voluntary basis, and is responsible for making sure that CFSI adheres to its vision, mission and goals, uses resources efficiently and effectively, and is accountable to its beneficiaries, partners, donors and other stakeholders.
