CFSI’s Psychosocial Care Project in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines helped children in Tacloban City affected by Typhoon Haiyan to enjoy the Philippines’ traditional Santa Cruz de Mayo celebrations with a range of activities and events on May 31.
A total of 122 children aged from four to 15 from Barangay 43-A and Barangay 65 in Tacloban, Leyte province, took part in such activities as play activities, a singing contest, a fashion show and a pageant, which served to help children feel a part of a group, learn from the experiences of others, and learn better social and communication skills.
