In September 2006, CFSI convened a regional workshop on “Protecting life, well-being and dignity: Promoting the Human Security of uprooted people in the ASEAN region.” The gathering brought together international and national policymakers, academics, policymakers, social activists, national and international NGOs, and various donor agencies. “Missing Peace” summarizes recommendations advocating for a strong commitment in the ASEAN Charter to human security in general and the protection of the rights of uprooted persons in particular.
