On 20 November 2019, CFSI distributed livelihood support to families coming from the municipalities of Sultan Dimalondong, Bayang, Lumbatan, Lumbayanague, Balindong, Tamparan, Mulondo, and Marantao in Lanao del Sur and certain areas in Marawi City who have special needs.
The distribution was held in the Marawi City Hall. Twenty-two printing sets, one vulcanizing set, two carpentry sets, and two sidecars were handed over to the said receiving families under the Marawi Recovery Project (MRP). These famiies were added as project participants for the extension and expansion of the MRP. They shall also be recipients of the projects three components: protection support, psychosocial support, and livelihood support.
The Marawi Recovery Project is implemented by CFSI and supported by the Australian Government. The project promotes the protection, psychosocial, and economic recovery of around 6,500 households (approximately 32,500 individuals) affected by the Marawi siege.
