MTF-RDP/2: Notice to Contractors

Notice to Contractors That Participated in the MTF-RDP/2 – LCB No. 1

CFSI and BDA thank the contractors that joined the bidding for various Socio-Economic Infrastructures (SEIs) funded by the Mindanao Trust Fund – Reconstruction and Development Project Phase II (MTF-RDP/2) under Local Competitive Bidding (LCB) No. 1.

The bids of the different participating contractors were opened last 27 February 2020. The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Joint Procurement and Evaluation Committee (JPEC) evaluated those bids that passed the qualification. Post-qualification was subsequently conducted but the JPEC and TWG had to suspend subsequent activities, particularly the issuance of Notices of Award and the Contract Signing.

As everyone is fully aware, the significant danger posed by COVID-19, local government units (LGUs) recently have been compelled to control or even prevent the entry of people in their jurisdictions and have banned the conduct of gatherings involving a large number of people.  Even if Contracts are awarded to Contractors, no implementation can be started given the current circumstances.

In view of the foregoing, and in the interest of the safety of everyone, we regret to announce that the Contract Award, Contract Signing, and issuance of Notice to Proceed for Local Competitive Bidding (LCB) No. 1 are indefinitely postponed.  We will update you on any development as soon as this health emergency is over.
