CFSI, in partnership with UNICEF Philippines and Save the Children Philippines, organised a Training on Proxy Consent and Case Management for HIV and Child Protection. The training was held on 10-12 April and 16-18 April for Batch 1 and Batch 2, respectively. It was attended by a total of 28 Registered Social Workers (RSWs), 2 Nurses, and 1 Physician together with representatives from the Pasay City Social Welfare and Development Office, Manila Department of Social Welfare, Pasay City Anti Drug Council, Gems Heart Foundation, Pangarap Foundation, Positive Action Foundation, Pinoy Plus Advocacy Pilipinas, AIDS Society Philippines, and the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines.
The training enabled RSWs and physicians to better perform the tasks of providing proxy consent to the young key affected population, manage the cases of those who tested positive for HIV, and make the necessary referral for child protection services with ease, precision, and quality.
This training is implemented by CFSI through the Park Avenue Initiative, and funded by UNICEF.
