Community and Family Services International (CFSI) and the Swiss Embassy in Manila, Philippines seeks to enhance the capacity of the Social Welfare Committee of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) to lay a solid foundation for the emerging social service workforce in the newly constituted Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The Para-Social Worker Training Project (PSWTP) will involve developing and pilot-testing a para-social worker training curriculum drafted with the support of the Swiss Embassy, through the “Building on the First Start Project (BFSP)”, implemented from November 2018 through February 2019. The MILF Social Welfare Committee (MILF-SWC) is expected to play an important role in the emerging social welfare ministry of the BARMM and has committed to step up to meet this challenge.
