On 1 February 2019, CFSI held its first staff orientation for the Community Engagement on Children Project (CECP) in CFSI Sub-Office Iligan (SOI).
Funded by the the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the CECP aims to assess issues on children’s rights and protection by conducting focused group discussions in the 103 barangays of the municipalities of Masiu, Balindong, and Saguiaran of the province of Lanao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines. Its focus include children’s rights and protection, availability and access to basic services for education health, nutrition, protection, for children, adolescent, and youth, and participation of the youth in local planning.
CFSI will be working the local government and various partners such as Maranao People Development Center, Inc. (MARADECA), ICAN, Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS), and Synergia.
