CFSI has launched a series of special “Child Rights” greeting cards designed by children from one of the most impoverished areas of inner-city Metro Manila.

The cards – themed “The Rights of Every Child (Ang Karapatan Bawat Bata)” – were designed by up to 55 children from eight of the poorest barangays in Pasay City – areas served by CFSI’s Park Avenue Initiative (PAI).

The series features eight works of art, each focusing on a different child right: The right to a clean and safe environment, the right to education, the right to food, the right to play, the right to government protection, the right to a name and nationality, the right to a family and a home, and the right to express an opinion.

Prior to designing the cards, the children involved took part in an orientation session organized by PAI volunteers aimed at raising their awareness of children’s rights. The knowledge they gained was then translated into the drawings that appear on the cards in a workshop conducted by Creative Kids Studio.

The cards can be purchased directly from PAI at the CFSI office in Pasay City. For further information, contact info@cfsi.ph.
