With prospects for peace significantly improving in Mindanao between the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Government of the Philippines (GPH), the World Bank (WB)- administered multi-donor Mindanao Trust Fund (MTF) was established as a mechanism for pooling and channeling resources from development partners and international donors to support transitional assistance for post-conflict reconstruction and development in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao. From March 2006 – March 2017, CFSI served as a Trust Fund Recipient (TFR) for the Mindanao Trust Fund Reconstruction and Development Project (MTF-RDP). As TFR, CFSI took on the role of fund manager, provided technical assistance to the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), and carried out fiduciary oversight. CFSI also served as the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) for the MTF-RDP Camps Project last 2016-2017.

With MTF-DRP/2, CFSI remains as the TFR and also functions as the Project Management Unit (PMU). CFSI is primarily responsible and accountable for the efficient and effective implementation of the approved subproject/s. Through coaching and mentoring, CFSI works hand-in-hand with the BDA, the Joint Task Force on Camp Transformation (JTFCT) and POs/communities across sub-project cycles.
