CFSI is pleased to announce that an additional four local civil society organization (CSOs) have been selected to receive grants under the Capacity Strengthening for Localization Project (CSLP) which will assist ongoing response and recovery activities for communities affected by the Sarangani earthquake.
Supported by the Australia in The Philippines, the CSLP aims to strengthen the capacity of the Philippine Inclusive NGO Network (PINGON) and support locally led humanitarian action and disaster risk reduction initiatives through grants to local CSOs. A total of eleven (11) local CSOs have been provided with grants under the CSLP.
“Tuloy-Aralan Learning Recovery Project” aims to restore safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning opportunities for earthquake-affected learners in Malapatan, Sarangani Province through the establishment of Continuity Learning Spaces.
“Emergency Response Through Solar Power for Aid, Resilience, and Timely Action” aims to strengthen humanitarian response and early recovery through the provision of portable and renewable energy for disaster-affected communities in Sarangani Province.
“Rebuilding Indigenous People’s Lives of Sarangani Earthquake Survivors” aims to improve access to life-saving humanitarian support and reduce protection risks for vulnerable women and children within affected IP communities through community-driven early recovery interventions focused on training and support for climate-smart livelihoods.
“Project PAGLIG-ON: An Integrated Community-Based Disaster Recovery and Resilience Initiative” aims to strengthen the preparedness and recovery capacities of earthquake-affected communities in General Santos City and Sarangani Province through the promotion of psychosocial well-being, family strengthening, disaster preparedness, and community resilience.
